Role : Asst. Manager – Product Marketing
Role Contour : Experienced product marketing manager to drive GTM strategy and positioning of products in marketing. Responsible to drive B2B and B2C Product Marketing experiences with an emphasis on core product marketing, to work directly with product teams and technical products, developing powerful product narratives, supporting sales teams, and driving and executing go-to-market motions and campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Developing an understanding of products’ capabilities, competitor capabilities, pricing models,
- Developing and delivering messages resonating across various mediums and channels.
- Able to understand how the product works.
- The ability to understand the underlying tech that is driving the product
- Own product launches, including (but not limited to) Customer summits, Tradeshows etc
- Develop and sharpen messaging and positioning for Protean’s products and services.
- Inform pricing and packaging to align with the customer journey and value.
- Partner with Product teams for sales enablement materials and pitch documents for our partnerships and sales teams.
- Engage with Protean’s followers and users across various channels, keep them up to date with product releases, newsletters, etc
- Conduct and monitor competitive analysis.
- Equip the product and sales teams with insights to inform product road mapping and to help close deals.
- Work closely along Marketing team with initiative ideation, developing / redistributing content, and attending events and conferences.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 to 5 years of Marketing experience with an emphasis on product marketing
- Experience working with product teams and technical products.
- Have owned end-to-end product launches with customer acquisition as the primary success metric (vs. retention)
- Experience developing product narratives, driving, and executing go-to-market motions and campaigns, and defining and evolving messaging and positioning.
- Experience partnering cross functionally across business units to drive enablement across all GTM functions including Sales, CS, Delivery, and Partner teams.
- Excellent writing and communication skills. Does not require editing or proofreading by others.
