Job Description:

Education Qualification:(a) Essential: B.E / BSc / MSc. / Any Graduate

(b) Desirable: B. Tech B.E / BSc / MSc. / Any Graduate

(C) Essential: Middleware Administrator L3 / Lead Role

Business / Technical Skills Sets: (a) Desirable:

Core Middleware Expertise:

  • Apache HTTP Server – reverse proxy, mod_jk, mod proxy, SSL.
  • Tomcat – installation, tuning, clustering, troubleshooting.
  • IBM WebSphere ND/Base – cell/node setup, deployment manager, wsadmin scripting.
  • JBoss EAP/Wild Fly – domain/standalone, CLI scripting.
  • WebLogic – domain configuration, node manager, JMS.
  • IBM MQ – queue manager, channels, SSL/TLS, clustering, HA setup.
  • DR shifting and DR Drills activities
  • JAVA/JDK 

OS & Infrastructure:

  • Linux/Unix administration (RHEL, AIX, Solaris).
  • Basic Windows server knowledge.

Scripting / Automation:

  • Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.

Databases (basic integration): DB2, PostgreSQL, MSSQL. MongoDB 

Job Profile (b) :Administration & Operations

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain middleware components:
    • Web Servers: Apache HTTP Server, Nginx (if applicable).
    • Application Servers: Tomcat, WebSphere ND/Base, JBoss EAP/Wild Fly, WebLogic.
    • Messaging: IBM MQ, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ (if applicable).
  • Manage clustering, load balancing, failover, and high availability configurations.
  • Implement security (SSL/TLS, certificates, LDAP/AD integration, JAAS, WS-Security).
  • Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance adherence.
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and configuration reports.
  • DR shifting and DR Drills activities.

Incident / Problem / Change Management

  • Provide L3 support for complex incidents, RCA, and problem resolution.
  • Review recurring incidents and propose permanent fixes or automation.
  • Handle change management, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
  • Coordinate with application teams, DBAs, and infra teams for end-to-end troubleshooting.

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor application/middleware performance using tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, OEM, etc.).
  • Tune JVMs, garbage collection, thread pools, and connection pools for optimal performance.
  • Conduct capacity analysis and recommend scaling strategies.

Project / Delivery Leadership

  • Lead middleware upgrades, migrations, and cloud/container adoption (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Evaluate and implement new middleware solutions as per enterprise needs.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing with L1/L2 teams.
  • Drive automation (Ansible, Shell/Python scripts, CI/CD pipelines) for deployments and operations.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release).
  • Maintain license compliance for commercial middleware software.

Salary : Upto 16 LPA
