Urgent Requirement for Storage and Backup Administrator Sr Manager role with One of the leading IT Company for Delhi/Noida Location.

Role:
The L3 Storage and Backup Engineer is a senior-level technical expert responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of enterprise-scale storage and backup infrastructure. This role focuses on high-availability block, object, and tape storage systems, backup appliances, and SAN switching technologies, ensuring data integrity, availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.

Experience Level:

Senior – 8+ years experience in enterprise storage and backup solutions, with advanced hands-on knowledge of HPE Alletra storage arrays, Scality object storage, HPE StoreOnce backup appliances, HPE tape libraries, and SAN switches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as HPE ASE Storage Solutions Architect, SNIA Certified Storage Engineer, or similar preferred.
• Deep expertise in RAID configurations, NVMe SSD, FC and iSCSI SAN protocols, and object storage systems.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) a plus.
• Experience in data protection strategies, backup and restore operations, and disaster recovery planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Storage Architecture & Design:
  Lead the design and capacity planning for HPE Alletra MP B10130 block storage arrays (100TB effective, RAID 6 NVMe SSD), HPE Alletra object storage with Scality (multi-PB capacity), and MSA 2070 backup storage arrays. Develop scalable and resilient storage solutions aligned with business needs.
• Backup Infrastructure Management:
  Configure and oversee Veeam Backup, HPE StoreOnce 5660 deduplication appliances and HPE MSL Tape Libraries (LTO9) operations, including tape drive management, cartridge handling, and backup scheduling. Ensure data protection meets SLA requirements.
• SAN Switching:
  Manage and troubleshoot HPE SN6700 series SAN switches (32Gbps FC ports). Monitor fabric health, perform firmware upgrades, and resolve connectivity issues impacting storage availability.
• Storage Performance & Optimization:
  Analyze storage performance metrics, optimize RAID configurations, balance workloads across FC/iSCSI ports, and tune object storage metadata and data tiers for maximum throughput and reliability.
• Disaster Recovery & Replication:
  Implement and test DR replication strategies using Scality Geo Site licenses and block storage replication features. Develop and maintain DR runbooks and conduct regular failover testing.
• Incident Management & Troubleshooting:
  Lead L3 escalation for storage and backup incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Automation & Monitoring:
  Develop scripts and workflows to automate routine storage provisioning, backup verification, and capacity reporting. Use monitoring tools to proactively detect and mitigate storage faults.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  Maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and compliance records. Ensure storage infrastructure adheres to regulatory standards and internal security policies.

Mentorship & Leadership:
Provide technical guidance to L1/L2 engineers, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and assist in capacity planning and budgeting activities.
