Role Purpose

The Associate BU Head — Data Fabric & Software Development Unit is responsible for managing and scaling the assigned sub-business unit covering enterprise software development, data fabric platforms, golden record generation, master data management, data integration, workflow platforms, analytics systems, and API-based digital transformation solutions.

The role supports the BU Head in driving project delivery, product execution, client engagement, team leadership, solution architecture, software quality, and business growth. This is an execution-first leadership role requiring equal strength in delivery governance, technical depth, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

A.  Sub-BU Management

• Own delivery, operations, revenue support, and team performance across the assigned Data Fabric & Software Development sub-BU.
• Prepare execution plans, resource plans, delivery roadmaps, and operational dashboards; monitor KPIs for project progress, billing, utilisation, margins, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure strong governance across software development, data engineering, platform implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Identify business, technical, and delivery risks early and drive mitigation plans.

B.  Software Development & Delivery Governance

• Oversee delivery of concurrent software and data platform projects — on scope, timeline, cost, and quality.
• Review sprint plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables; coordinate across PMs, BAs, architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and data engineers.
• Ensure timely delivery of modules, dashboards, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and reports.
• Maintain complete documentation: BRD, FRS, SRS, HLD, LLD, API docs, test cases, user manuals, SOPs, and release notes.
• Conduct weekly and monthly reviews; resolve bottlenecks proactively.

C.  Data Fabric Platform Leadership

• Support design and execution of Data Fabric architecture across enterprise and government platforms — ingestion, integration, transformation, storage, cataloging, and consumption layers.
• Drive data pipelines for batch, near-real-time, and API-based exchange with full support for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Ensure platform delivers interoperability, scalability, security, observability, governance, and auditability.
• Coordinate metadata management, data catalog, lineage, data quality, audit logs, and access control.

D.  Golden Record Generation & Master Data Management

• Lead execution of golden record projects for citizens, farmers, beneficiaries, land records, assets, or other master entities.
• Coordinate data ingestion from multiple sources; oversee standardisation, validation, cleansing, and deduplication.
• Implement deterministic, probabilistic, fuzzy, phonetic, and AI/ML-based matching and survivorship rules.
• Define rules for record merging, conflict resolution, exception handling, and manual verification workflows.
• Ensure golden record generation is auditable, explainable, secure, and governance-compliant.

E.  Product & Solution Execution

• Support product roadmap execution for data fabric, registry, workflow, and software platforms; convert business requirements into features, workflows, APIs, reports, and system modules.
• Work with product managers and architects to define scope, feature priorities, sprint plans, and release schedules.
• Ensure solutions are configurable, scalable, secure, multilingual, role-based, and aligned with government and enterprise requirements.
• Support product demos, proof of concepts, pilot implementations, and solution presentations.

F.  Client & Stakeholder Management

• Own day-to-day and strategic communication with assigned clients including government departments, enterprise clients, PMUs, consulting agencies, and technology partners.
• Translate client expectations into actionable delivery plans; resolve issues within agreed timelines.
• Represent Amnex in client workshops, review meetings, UAT sessions, and technical demonstrations.
• Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term engagement.

G.  Business Development & Proposal Support

• Support BU Head and sales teams in identifying new opportunities across data platforms, registry systems, and digital transformation.
• Contribute to RFP responses, technical proposals, effort estimates, solution design, pricing assumptions, and delivery methodology.
• Support pre-sales discussions, client demonstrations, and bid clarification meetings.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities in existing accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, MCA, or related field. MBA is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of professional experience in software development, data platforms, system integration, enterprise applications, or digital transformation.
• Minimum 5 years in project leadership, product management, program delivery, or technology leadership.
• Experience in government projects, large-scale registry systems, enterprise data integration, or mission-mode digital platforms preferred.
