About the Role
Amnex is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Consultant with deep expertise in cloud platforms, data centre infrastructure, and transformation solutions. This role requires a strong blend of technical depth, consulting mindset, and business understanding to design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
You will be instrumental in driving solution strategy, influencing enterprise deals, and enabling digital transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with sales and business teams to drive solutioning for cloud and data centre opportunities
- Engage with clients to assess current infrastructure (on-prem/data centre) and define cloud transformation strategies
- Design end-to-end architectures across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Lead on-prem to cloud migration solutioning, including workload assessment, dependency mapping, and migration strategies
- Define and design Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP), and High Availability (HA) solutions
- Own RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, including architecture, sizing, BOM, and costing
- Conduct technical workshops, solution demos, and CXO-level presentations
- Build reference architectures and reusable solution frameworks
- Collaborate with hyperscalers, OEMs, and internal engineering teams
- Ensure solution feasibility and alignment with delivery teams
- Drive value-based consulting, linking technology solutions to business outcomes
Core Technical Expertise
Cloud Platforms & Services
Strong understanding of modern cloud ecosystems, including:
- Compute & Application Services:
- Virtual Machines, container platforms, serverless compute
- Managed application services
- Storage & Data Services:
- Object storage (BLOB equivalent)
- Block and file storage systems
- Data warehousing and analytics platforms (basic exposure)
- Security & Monitoring:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- SIEM and cloud-native security services
- Monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Networking:
- Virtual networks, load balancing
- VPN, private connectivity (dedicated interconnects)
Containerization & Virtualization
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
- Familiarity with Docker and microservices architecture
- Expertise in virtualization technologies:
- VMware (vSphere, vSAN, NSX)
- OpenStack (private cloud environments)
Data Centre Infrastructure
- Deep understanding of data centre architecture and active components, including:
- Compute: Rack/Blade servers, GPU-enabled systems
- Storage: SAN, NAS, NL-SAS, SSD, object storage
- Networking: Switches, routers, firewalls, spine-leaf architecture
- Knowledge of:
- Data centre design, redundancy (N+1, 2N), and scalability
- High-performance computing (HPC) and GPU workloads
Migration, DR & Architecture
- Strong experience in:
- On-Prem to Cloud Migration (assessment, planning, execution strategies)
- Migration approaches: Lift & Shift, Re-platforming, Re-architecting
- Expertise in:
- Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and implementation
- Backup strategies and data protection
- High Availability (HA) and failover architectures
- Ability to design:
- Hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Cost-optimized and performance-driven solutions
- Secure and compliant infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- B.Tech (Mandatory)
- MBA (Preferred)
- Experience:
- 5+ years of cloud-focused experience
- Experience working with Cloud MSPs or hyperscalers
- Strong background in Pre-sales / Solutioning / Consulting roles
