Yes NoJob Title: Sr. Pre-Sales Consultant – Smart City, Data Centre & Cloud Solutions
Location: Ahmedabad
Experience Required: 6–10 years
Role Overview
The Pre-Sales Consultant will play a critical role in solution design, technical sizing, cost estimation, and proposal preparation for large-scale Smart City, Data Centre, Cloud, and ICT infrastructure projects. The role involves close collaboration with sales, engineering, OEMs, cloud providers, and government stakeholders to deliver technically sound and commercially viable proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
- Lead end-to-end pre-sales activities for Smart City, ICT, and Digital Infrastructure projects.
- Analyse RFPs / RFQs / EOIs, understand technical and commercial requirements, and prepare compliant technical solutions.
- Design overall system architecture covering IT, Cloud, Network, Data Centre, IoT, and Field Systems.
- Prepare solution documents, BOMs, network diagrams, architecture diagrams, and technical write-ups.
Data Centre & Cloud Sizing
- Perform Data Centre sizing and capacity planning (compute, storage, networking, power, cooling).
- Prepare on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-based architectures.
- Conduct Google Cloud Platform (GCP) sizing and effort estimation, including:
- VM sizing
- Storage and backup sizing
- Network bandwidth estimation
- SKU identification and pricing estimation
- Define high availability, DR, security, and scalability architectures.
Effort Estimation & Costing
- Prepare effort estimation, resource planning, and project cost models.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and Bill of Materials (BoM).
- Support commercial teams with pricing strategy, margin analysis, and risk assessment.
- Coordinate with OEMs and partners for technical validation and pricing inputs.
DPR & Proposal Development
- Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) including:
- Technical architecture
- Implementation methodology
- Project timelines & milestones
- CAPEX & OPEX estimates
- Develop technical proposals, compliance matrices, and response documents.
- Support presentations, demos, and technical discussions with clients and authorities.
Smart City & ICT Domain Coverage
Hands-on experience in designing and sizing solutions for:
- Smart City & Command and Control Centres (ICCC)
- IoT Platforms & Sensor Networks
- Surveillance Systems (CCTV, VMS, Video Analytics)
- ITMS (Intelligent Traffic Management Systems)
- Environmental Monitoring Sensors
- Traffic AFMS, IMTs, AFC, VTS
- Fiber Networks, Telecom & MPLS
- Routers, Switches, MUX & Network Security
- Enterprise IT & Software Platforms
Technical Skills & Expertise
Core Skills

- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (mandatory), hybrid cloud concepts

- Smart City Systems: ICCC, IoT, Surveillance, ITMS

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecom)
- Cloud certifications (Google Cloud preferred)
- Experience working with Government / PSU / Smart City projects
- Strong OEM & partner coordination experience
