- Position Purpose:
Risk and Compliance is as integral part of the Payment System team as are the Business facing, Infrastructure and the Development teams. Governance Risk and Compliance is responsible for driving the compliance to the various internal processes and policies within the Payment System team to ensure compliance and effective governance for the smooth execution of the Technology team. As a Senior Manager / AVP in Risk and Compliance for Payment Systems, the main role will be to 1. To independently handle on site regulatory inspection including co-ordination with various stakeholders from a Payment System standpoint. 2. To independently handle regulatory emails, data requirements and timely response against queries received from regulators/Auditors & Compliance 3. To compile data from various stakeholders within bank for onwards submission to various regulator/auditors & compliance personal within agreed TAT. 4. Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationship with various stakeholders within the bank. 5. Bridge between Technology and Audit, Risk & Compliance. |
- Position Responsibilities:

1 | Should be able to handle end to end Regulatory Reporting like RBS Trance, Cyber Security KRI, RAR etc. for Payment System and should submit the same within agreed TAT. |
2 | Should have hands on experience in handling job where co-ordination with various stakeholders and providing compiled data. |
3 | Liaison with RBI/IBA /IRDA etc. for obtaining clarifications. Reviewing important communications from/to regulators/industry body |
4 | To act as a Lead for audits which require involvement of technology team. This will entail coordinating with the auditors(internal/External) on audit to deliver information as per the audit plan, share evidence, participate in walkthroughs, submit management responses and closure of Audit observation on a timely basis. |
5 | Publishing Technology Dashboards and reports to Key stakeholders. |
6 | Some level of exposure to CXOs of the Bank for presentation of reporting |
7 | Ensuring data required by the various internal and external auditors is collated, compiled, presented, understood, and explained as and when needed. |
8 | Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the management of business units which fall under risk assessment responsibility. |
9 | Data collation for compliance monitoring, Risk Based Supervision data submission and responding to various observations made by the RBI and other regulator. |
10 | Assist in developing an integrated risk management framework. |
11 | Ensure design and effectiveness of IT General Controls. |
12 | Align the policy framework with latest industry standards |
13 | Ensure IT and cross functional teams are aware about the policy requirements. Conduct trainings, quiz, surveys and mandatory certifications for this. |
14 | Identify key controls and conduct sample self-assessments to verify test of effectiveness. |
15 | Conduct half-yearly and annual reviews of all policy/ processes to ensure they are current and relevant to the operating environment. |
16 | Proactively identify areas of weakness and address them before they reach 3rd line of defense. |
17 | Work closely with 2nd and 3rd line of defence to prioritize and address issues requiring attention. |
- Qualifications and Experience Required:
Qualifications | |
Essential | Computer science degree (B. Tech /BCA, BSc (IT) etc.) MBA |
Preferred | Knowledge of Payment Systems and PCI DSS |
Experience | |
Essential | Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Banking Payment System Understanding of the banking environment. Working across and with large teams. Fair understanding of the financials. |
