| Role: | Manager – ESG |
| Grade: | Sr. Manager to Asst. Vice President |
| Reporting to: | DVP (E&S Risk) |
| Desired years of experience: | 8-10 years. Candidates having previous work experience with banks, private equity funds, multilateral agencies and consulting firms in similar roles and having desired skill sets will be preferred. |
| Desired skill set: | Hard skills of the incumbent will include the following: Experience in Environment, Occupational Health & Safety and Social (EHS&S) due diligence audits of large industrial projects as per: (a) Indian EHS&S regulations, (b) IFC Performance Standards & EHS Guidelines, (c) emerging standards and practices Incumbent must have prepared Sustainability Report following GRI and IIRC guidelines Should have clear understanding of extant and emerging ESG requirements applicable to financial institutions Prior experience in calculating carbon, water and energy foot-prints Clear knowledge about emerging climate change disclosure regime like TCFD ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001 management system implementation and/or auditExcellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in RDBMS (like Access), Statistical and GIS software will be considered a plus. Desired soft skills of incumbent will include the following: Incumbent should have deliver under pressure and have problem solving attitude. |
| Desired educational qualification: | Necessary: M.E. / M. Tech (Environmental /Chemical Engineering) or M. Sc. (Environmental Science/Chemistry) or equivalent Preferred: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 lead auditor certification; GRI and / or IIRC certified professional, ESRA certification from UNEP-FI |
| Job Description: | The incumbent is expected to work on the following areas: Leading Bank’s Business Responsibility & Sustainability Report (BRSR) Integrated Report and other related reporting initiatives Maintain a ESG data pool for senior management, investors, regulatory authorities and analysts incl. DJSI / FTSE4Good / Sustainalytics etc. Assist investor relations teams and top management on ESG related issues and during interaction with ESG analysts and counterparts. Advise top management on emerging issues like TCFD, SBTi and Net ZeroAssist in E&S due diligence of the credit proposal as per Indian legal requirement as well as IFC PS/EHS guideline and other international best practices; identifying key E&S issues; advising business, wholesale credit risk team and the client(s) on mitigating key E&S risksUndertake capacity development of wholesale credit risk and business teams on E&S issues Document control and periodic MIS generation for Senior Management |
