Job Description
Position Summary
Role :National Underwriting Manager – Digital Loans
Reporting to :Head Credit
Place of Posting : Mumbai HO
Geographical Remit : PAN India
Key Responsibilities
- Set up internal controls and process to address key risks in digital lending business.
- Develop & implement process manuals and implement Risk policy for the vocational and digital education loans.
- Co design and recommend automations and monitoring controls for Digital Lending Business
- Drive operational efficiency through automation of credit process and straight through processing
- Collaborate with business and collections team to drive the desired asset quality of the product
- Recommend to the management on latest trends in underwriting which gives better customer experience, drives business growth and enhances asset quality
- Co-ordination with support functions – sales, operations, collections, IT team and RCU team for setting up process flow for smooth business functioning.
- Conceptualizing, building training content, ensuring delivery and tracking effectiveness of capability building programs across roles.
- Conduct portfolio study of the outstanding advances portfolio, Lead credit tightening initiatives to keep delinquencies under control while maintaining a balanced view of business profitability across various products and geographies.
- Quality Management in terms of Audit, Compliance and Hind sighting
Key Accountabilities
- Co partner Business and Risk team in delivering on Budgeted growth of Digital Lending Business wrt new account onboarding, qualitative measures achievement
- Credit delivery on non STP business within agreed SLAs and risk appetite
- Manage team wrt motivation, efficiency and learnings
- Monitor the incremental business is being underwritten in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Structural engagement with Digital lending partners and drive agreed actionables from that
Required Experience
- Over all 10 years of experience in Lending Business in credit/risk/ operations with exposure to digital lending architecture and or sufficient expertise in designing and running processes and design
Required Qualification
- CA /MBA (Finance) or relevant qualification
